Summary of recommended UKCES key goals:

  • Make UK-wide targets meaningful to sectors and nations
  • Raise the performance of all Sector Skills Councils, and publicly support the network
  • Ensure SSCs are empowered and resourced to fulfil their exciting new roles
  • Encourage coherence in employment and skills system across the 4 nations

Next steps

The UKCES is continuing to develop its strategy, and Semta will be contributing views as appropriate.
