Summary
QAA is consulting on the revised process for recognition for new
subject benchmark statements. These statements provide the
threshold standards for higher education in particular
subjects.
Semta submitted a response calling for more employer involvement
in the process, and commending the engineering statement as a model
incorporating the views of professional bodies, as well as
utilising national standards such as UKSPEC.
