Consultation -  Information, Advice and Guidance Services for Young People - Directions and Statutory Guidance for Local Authorities (England)

Response due: 16 June 2010

Summary

Sets out the proposed guidelines for local authorities on managing information, advice and guidance services for young people, which LAs have had responsibility for since April 2008.  It specifies:

  • who should receive services
  • services to be made available
  • partnership arrangements
  • people working in information, advice and guidance
  • record keeping
  • monitoring, review and evaluation of services

Semta did not respond to this consultation, but will continue to work with IAG providers to ensure their information is up to date and unbiased.
