Consultation - Climate Change Strategy - Programme of Action (Wales)

Summary

This Programme of Action sets out the proposals for new policies and programmes to help Wales tackle climate change in:

  • transport
  • business
  • public sector
  • agriculture and land use
  • waste 
  • at home

It also details proposals for developing an adaptation framework for Wales.  The programme provides context for the actions underway and highlights the role that UK and European Union (EU) policies will play.  The consultation also looks at the skills requirements of industry in tackling climate change.

Next steps 

Semta did not make a specific response, but will continue to lobby to ensure science and engineering companies in Wales are prepared for the low carbon economy.
