Date published: 28 November 2008
Response due: 20 February 2009
Semta response submitted: 20 February 2009

Summary

Seeking views on:

Semta submitted a response calling for a rethink of the approach to Education Maintentance Allowance and Get Ready for Work funding.  We believe cash should go towards prioritising subjects such as science and mathematics, rather than focusing on means-testing.

Next steps

The Scottish Executive plans to issue a report on this consultation by the end of May 2009.
