Industrial Electronics

Who can enter?                                                     

The competition is intended for technicians working or training in the electronics industry. The Industrial Electronics competition is based on the standards attained by trainees who are working towards or have reached S/NVQ Level 3, ONC  qualification or Higher.

About the competition:

The competition places you within the role of the electronics technician  and the standards that are required within that industry. Although the competition is largely practical, competitors will be required to have a thorough understanding of the theory associated with:

  • Fundamental electrical, analogue, and digital electronics principles.

Tasks:

  • Demonstrate basic ‘C’ programming skills used in  programming as a  simple embedded system.
  • Electronic Components used  and assembly of electronic circuits.
  • Fault finding.
  • Measurement and testing of electronic circuits.

How many competitors can enter from each organisation?

There are no restrictions to the number of competitors entered per organisation.
