Skills competitions
WorldSkills UK has a portfolio of up to 70 skills competitions
designed by leading industry experts and training providers and are
aimed at students, trainees and employees.
To have the opportunity of participating in the Worldskills
London 2011 competitions where candidates compete against young
people from over 50 countries, UK entrants need to take part in the
regional and national heats of WorldSkills UK competitions which
will be held throughout 2010.
Semta supports WorldSkills UK competitions and will be involved
in delivering these regionally and nationally in engineering
disciplines across the UK. The winners of these competitions will
receive recognition of their efforts and may have the opportunity
to go on to compete at an international level.
Continuing advances in technology and work processes makes
engineering an exciting and highly skilled industry. WorldSkills
competitions provide candidates with an exciting platform on which
to showcase these industry skills.
